Como ese libro que ya no leemos porque tenemos su versión digital, o ese cuerpo que no necesitemos cuando muramos, bien para darle una nueva vida, un nuevo uso, y ayudar a la investigación.
Dona tu ropa al arte es una plataforma para reutilizar la ropa que ya no necesitamos y con ella crear esculturas e instalaciones. Como ese libro que ya no leemos porque tenemos su versión digital, o ese cuerpo que no necesitemos cuando muramos, bien para darle una nueva vida, un nuevo uso, y ayudar a la investigación.
La plataforma nació en 2013 debido al miedo por la desaparición de la cultura y la educación pública por no ser rentable, como sí lo ha demostrado la industria fast fashion, a cualquier coste humano y ecológico. Con ella animamos a invertir en cultura y ser una sociedad (más) colaborativa, como demostramos por el auge de las redes sociales 2.0 y el cambio de paradigma que han generado las NTIC, otorgando mayor importancia a la necesidad de estar siempre visible, la ubicuidad, la inmediatez y la interactividad.
El proyecto sigue activo, para la siguiente exposición "De ida y vuelta" se ha instalado un punto de recogida en la Casa Bardín, C/San Fernando 44 Alicante. Hasta el 30 de junio 2017. Además tenemos puntos de recogida de ropa en Benidorm y Berlin.

Donate your clothes to art is a platform to reuse clothes that we do not need longer, and with them create sculptures and installations. As this book that we are not reading because we have the digital version, or that body that we don’t need when we die; we can give them a new life, a new use, and support research.
The platform was born in 2013 due to the fear of the disappearance of culture and public education for not being profitable, as itself has shown the fast fashion industry, at any price, doesn’t matter the human and ecological cost. We encourage to invest in culture and being a (more) collaborative society, as we demonstrate by the boom of social networks 2.0 and the paradigm shift that generates the ICTs, confering more importance to the need of being always visible, ubiquity, immediacy and interactivity.
The project is still active, for the next installation at Instituto Cervantes Berlín, we are collecting clothes at Glogauair, Glogauerstr. 16, Kreuzberg, since September 2017. Also we have collection points of clothes in Benidorm and Alicante.
