Feel like painting? Come spend a few hours painting, experimenting with colour and trying things you probably wouldn't try on your own.

Juancar offers painting and drawing workshops in Berlin for beginners and anyone who enjoys being creative and wants to learn, experiment and develop their skills. Sessions are held in English, German and Spanish with small groups of up to 12 participants.

Workshops take place in different creative spaces across Berlin and on different days of the week, so you can choose a workshop, location and schedule that works best for you. Whether you're picking up a brush for the first time or looking for new ways to approach your painting, you'll get practical guidance, personal feedback and plenty of room to develop your own style.

I attended the painting class "Reimagining Portrait Painting" with Juancar on Sunday, Dec 14th. Thank you so much for the possibility, the organisation, the space and the materials.

The class was playful, dynamic and I enjoyed every moment of it. The tutor's enthusiasm and love for painting was inspiring. He led us through a variety of exercises, we learned or rather experienced, next to mixing colours, to add stories, layers and feelings to our paintings. Step by step, without realizing or forcing it with our minds, each one of us created a unique portrait. The variety was stunning. I already booked another class and cannot wait to learn and experience more painting. Thank you for the opportunity.

Creative art workshops in Berlin - for adults, in English and German

Hi, I’m Juan-Carlos Rosa-Casasola (Juancar, he/him), a Berlin-based artist and art instructor offering painting and drawing workshops for beginners and intermediate participants - in English, German and Spanish. My classes are designed to help you explore creativity in a relaxed and supportive environment, where curiosity matters more than perfection.

With a background in Fine Arts, Art Production and Creative Design, I combine technical knowledge with an inclusive, playful teaching style that encourages experimentation and personal expression. Currently I teach acrylic painting & drawing workshops across Berlin, at Modulor, Berlin Drawing Room, U8 Haus, Malsalon and Eszenzia. I also offer custom teambuilding workshops and for private events.

Each format has its own focus: sometimes we paint, sometimes we draw, sometimes we move - always with the same goal: to help you reconnect with creativity and paint with confidence and joy.

Who can join

My workshops are open to all levels. They’re ideal for beginners, for those returning to art after a break, or for anyone looking to enjoy the process, let go of judgment, and rediscover the joy of making.
